US Route 66 "The Mother Road", Missouri

Missouri was probably my favourite state to drive through of all the Route 66 states. The gas was cheap, the people were kind, the temperature was hot, but not too humid and then there was no shortage of roads like this. Gently undulating hills and plenty of Route 66 to enjoy, stretching like a ribbon over the terrain. When I saw this particular spot with the sign I knew I had to turn back and get the shot. Apparently people have a thing for stealing these signs, which explains why I could sometimes go hours without seeing one...
