Mute Swan courtship

A pair of swans displaying their love for each other by arching their necks into a heart shape. Contrary to popular belief, swans do not always mate for life. While uncommon, "divorce" in paired swans can happen, for various reasons. Mute Swans are also not mute! Although other breeds of swan can be a lot noisier (I'm looking at you, Trumpeter Swan), Mutes do make a variety of grunting, snorting and "peeping" noises, particularly when young.
