Irish Sea Pioneer

Description

As the sun sets behind Irish Sea Pioneer, the last glimmers of light are caught in the water streams ejected from the ship's bilge pumps, gilding the man-made waterfalls. Irish Sea Pioneer is a "jack-up" support rig operating in, you guessed it, the Irish Sea. Here it is seen connected to the Lennox rig, an unmanned gas platform a few miles off the shores of Ainsdale, Merseyside. The Lennox rig is one of various satellite platforms in the area forming the Douglas Complex.
