Lennox sunset

Description

One of my favourite things about shooting sunsets is how technically challenging they are. Here, I caught the sun going down behind the Lennox rig in the Irish Sea just off the coast of Ainsdale beach. Not only were the sky conditions ideal (clear horizon but with enough haze/pollution to dim the sun and turn the sky red) but my planning and calculations to position the sun perfectly behind the rig worked out. Light bending near the surface of the water "squashes" the sun's disc.
