Grand Canyon South Rim, AZ mono

A wide shot overlooking the south rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA. Taken during my route 66 trip in May 2022 and the second Grand Canyon photo in this album. I feel this works well in black and white, where the relationship between the light and dark areas comes to the fore. It is truly quite a challenge to portray the enormity of the canyon in a photograph but somehow I feel that it is a little more convincing without colour.
