Moonlit star trails

Description

At first it may look like a slightly underexposed shot of a lighthouse on a fair day. But... the beacon is lit and there are stars! This was actually a 30 minute exposure at night with a waxing gibbous moon behind me. An experiment - I wasn't sure whether it would come out at all. I now know that shooting star trails under the moon not only works, but that it produces a surreal almost sci-fi looking shot. Kodak Portra 400, approx 30 minutes, f/11 or f/16. Minolta Autocord (cropped from 6x6).
