The leaning tower of Texas
Considered a Route 66 attraction, the story of this leaning water tower is an interesting one. Once slated for demolition, Ralph Britten purchased this condemned tower and set it to intentionally lean to advertise his truck stop. It did the job as he reportedly gained much passing trade from people stopping in to warn of the impending disaster. The tower is of course secure and is visible for miles along the I-40. The truck stop closed after being damaged by a fire.
