North Wales Expressway

Description

The North Wales Expressway connects to the border with England in the east via the A494 and the M56 and runs all the way to Holyhead where it terminates. Here at its approximate midpoint, on a footbridge near Colwyn Bay (known locally as Rainbow Bridge) the road can be seen at rush hour snaking into the distance. On the left the distant lights of Rhyl can be seen and on the far left the edge of Liverpool and even the Winter Hill transmitting station in Horwich, Lancashire.
