Quiet night

A quiet night looking over the M60 motorway, the ring road around Manchester, England. Taken just after midnight on a newly spawned Monday, there was almost no traffic in this twisty section through Brinnington and Bredbury. The orange lighting is formed of numerous 180W low pressure sodium lamps, with their monochromatic yellow orange light. A scene once common on UK roads (and throughout parts of Europe) that is now rapidly disappearing in favour of whiter light.
