Oystercatcher on the wing

An oystercatcher flying overhead at the coast against a perfectly blue sky. As the tide started to turn and their islands of sand became submerged, many would lift off in groups and find dry land elsewhere. It was much easier waiting for them to do this and photograph them in flight than it was to try and get close to perched birds on a wide open beach!
