American Robin

The American Robin is not related to the Eurasian Robin. It is a much larger bird in fact related to Eurasian Blackbird (True Thrushes family) which isn't hard to see looking at the bird's size, beak and its mannerisms. Here the bird turns its head to the side and gives me a cheeky look, very much reminiscent of how a Blackbird would behave at home in the UK.
